I have finished read the book ( a book ‘given’ to me by God) — Ghosts, A Christian Encounter, written by Ravi Pillai. It is a very interesting book. I do not miss every part of the book. Even the epilogue is a must to read. I want to put it down here for my collection, it is some important thoughts worth sharing. Here are the excerpts from Ghosts, A Christian Encounter:
Whatever the nature of our spiritual battles, we do not need to be terrified about our enemy’s abilities. We do not need to live in fear when we can live in boldness and victory — a victory that has been made possible by the matchless and mighty name of Jesus!
Christians can surely take heart in this one fact: That however strong the power of the devil is, the power of God is far, far greater. So long as we take our walk with God seriously, draw near to Him, live righteous lives and constantly look to God’s mercies to sustain us, we will always remain triumphant against Satan and his myriad of demons.
These are the forces Jesus confronted and defeated while He ministered on earth, and it is the same enemy the Church faces today.
The Bible speaks of the eventual doom of this dark kingdom when Satan and his angels are thrown into the lake of fire, long prepared for them, burning with fire and brimstone(Revelation 20:10) — a destiny of divine retribution they so richly deserve. But until all these events transpire, Christians will still have to contend with the reality of the spirit world.
Ravi Pillai had mentioned the importance and power of Jesus’ name, our Saviour, in his book. From this book, I had learned more about Jesus Christ as well as God. I shall write a review about this book soon.
