Eat To Survive: Predator and Prey
It was the pigeons that I saw… John and his friends… I went forward to take some photos of it. Just then, Clara alerted me, and said,”Look at this!” Wow, it was a big spider on a spider web. There is a dried-up insect hanging just above the spider, half-eaten already. It was such a big spider web. Clara again pointed out the webs and I noticed the long webs connecting from the tall tree to the shrub, ixora and then to Dracaena terminalis (Flaming Dragon Tree, my grandmother’s plant.) The ixora, my ’special plant’, with memories of my brothers…
Messenger of God
In front of the web is a ’stationery shop’ selling toys, stationery and household items… The children wanted to destroy the web. This is ‘destiny’ — without the children, I would not know that there is a spider web behind me. I would only see the birds. Without the children, I would not know how strong the spider web is and how amazing STRENGTH it has.

Unity Is Strength
The children threw sticks after sticks on it. Each time, the spider web did not spoil, and the stick stuck to the web, bounced. Amazing! We were ‘playing and experimenting’ with the web. Richard was gone, far ahead as usual. We had to call an end to the dropping stick experiment on the spider web. We are convinced of the enormous strength of the spider web. A single spider web, cast by a single spider, for predation purpose and protection from danger… Amazing, really amazing. No matter how big the stick, and the children threw on the web! The web was not destroyed!
