Fourth Week of Lent
By peace | March 17, 2010
This is the fourth week of Lent and the question you can see here is “What is missing in your cave?”
Where Are The Birds?
As I walked to church, on the way when we walked past the tree, I looked up the tree and observed the bird nest. There I stood under the tree, looking up, I wondered if I could see any birds or sounds from birds in the nest. It is too high up on the tree. All I could see was the base of the nest which had a little yellow leaf stuck underneath. No sound of birds chirping could be heard from the nest, but sound of birds coming from other directions…
Expect the Unexpected
Things Never Happen The Same Way
At the T-junction of the road, Clara said,”Puma!” We were surprised! Sometimes Puma was there, sometimes Puma was not there. Most of the time, Puma was there in the evening and we had thought that perhaps Puma only came out in the night or evening as what people had said. For so many Sundays or Saturdays, we had never seen Puma in broad daylight! It was such a Sunny Day with HOT sunlight! It was really a surprised and no one really expected it.

The Congregation
On the way, we saw lots of fungi too and I took many photographs of it. It was so beautiful… Reaching the church, I saw lots of people and lots of cars parking outside the church. Never had I seen such a scene for so long… The last time I had seen such a scene was so many years back when my family was still coming to church(during special occasion like Chinese New Year). During those days, as I sat in my brother’s car, we had to search for parking space. Getting parking lot was difficult and if you were late or punctual (exactly on time) for the church, you had to park your car outside the church (illegally). But luckily no summons were ever issued as I think the traffic police were very understanding.
The church wardens of course helped out a lot in such a case like this. At the church, we sat at the back again. I stood at the back of the church to make Isaac to sleep before the mass started. There I observed the wardens ‘working’. People with babies, were encouraged to go crying room. People standing(with no seats), they would show them to available seats…
