Love Story
By peace | April 17, 2010
This is a card from Richard to me. He dedicated the song “To Be With You” by Mr Big to me. His message is “I wish to be with you forever!”
This is me and Richard at the Holy Grounds of St Joseph Church in the year 1995, 30 April is the date if I am not wrong.
This was the happy and carefree days. We just go registered for our marriage in January 1995 then. Our traditional wedding was later. We got our first baby in the year 1997. Soon the second baby came and life just became harder as each child comes along.
Our life is our story. It is like a show in which our friends, our brothers and sisters are ‘watching’. Time flies and I have known him for 20 years and is officially married for 15 years. Richard used to be as skinny as the skinny monk below. When he took off his shirt, you can see all his ribs like this monk below. He is so similar to this monk that when we went to Haw Par Villa, I asked him to took a photograph there.
This is Richard, photograph taken at Haw Par Villa
Just like any other men, he also hope to have ‘6 pack‘ but having six pack abs is really not easy. It requires very discipline lifestyle. He did some train up, but I never see any ’6 pack’ from him. Like what he said, he only has ‘family pack’ now. This was our joke just yesterday. Age has caught up with him and he has the need for wearing reading glasses now. He is long-sighted now and has more white hairs!
Last time, before Isaac’s birth, Richard and I would go jogging but nowadays, I had stopped. However, I would still accompany him to the garden for jogging — carrying Isaac along.
Despite all the jogging and exercise that he does, he is still having a ‘family pack’ (a small ‘pillow’ below his abdomen). My wish is that we would be able to live healthily and stay together till ripe old age to see our children grow up. Yes, I want to be with him forever too. Thank you Jesus for helping me and for revealing the truth to me…
