Calling From The Master

Today I dreamed of Boon Lay, part of Boon Lay, the familiar bridge(at Boon Lay circle, the once called Boon Lay Drive, just in front of Boon Lay Blk 169), flooded with water. As I was standing before the bridge, Belinda came walking towards the direction of me. She wanted to go to the building, a building which I had never been to before, but only in my dream.
I was surprised to meet her. Exchange greetings and she told me she was working. Next she was gone.
The most striking thing in this dream is a dream of nurse, two or three white door rooms, the type of doors which I had seen at FMM, but it was with no signboard or any names outside, just plain doors.
Prayer Room: The Master is here and Waits For You. I was so surprise, real surprise to see this at FMM, no.49, Holland Road. This is the type of door that I see in the dream, same colour, pure white, but without the label.
It was at third floor of a building, never been to this building before, but it was the familiar Boon Lay ‘bridge’ which I saw in the dream when I came out of the building and I saw Belinda there…
I had forgotten whom I was with in the dream, perhaps my children. It was a sort of prank on the third floor. The centre of the room was opened, and somehow someone pressed on the bell of another room or something like that, very messy now, cannot remember clearly. There was another ‘ang mo’ (caucasian) man, cannot remember who also, never see before. As the bell was being pressed, a nurse, dressed in all white, very smart, ‘black’ (like Eurasian or those kind of ‘Philippine’) came, opening the door and asking about who pressing the bell and so on. Nobody dare to say anything….
Next part of the dream, seemed to happen at second floor of the building. It was a circular building, meaning if you start at one point, you walked one round, you will come back to the same place, and the floor building is ‘circle shaped’. There was a fish shop, cannot remember exactly what happened now already, but it was quite a scary dream, involving some misunderstanding….. must run away type of thing, so scary… involving taps also, the word 五金
I remembered I need to run away, and I was explaining ‘things’ to the shopkeepers, trying to clarify something. But it was so hard. I had to walk here and walk back, because need to ’save’ somebody, don’t know who, forget already. But the thing I remembered clearly was the washing of my face and hands at a sink. Above the sink was some tailisman and the yellow picture with drawing of the Thailand ‘god’ or ‘idol’. The smell of the incense was so strong, and I dare not looked at the ‘picture’, just wash my face there. But as I was washing, I thought, it was like ‘washing’ with the spirits or something like that. I looked around to see if there were other sinks around, but surprisingly, all the sinks were like that.
What a strange dream. But the main thing which struck me was the bridge flooded with water, the road all flooded with water, and the meeting of Belinda, and the washing of my face and the Thailand ‘god’.
I don’t know anything about Thailand ‘god’ at all. But I only know that there is only ONE GOD in this world. All the rest are worship of idols, not true god. The only true god in this world is GOD himself, and he sent his Son, Jesus = God made son to this earth, but was crucified and died on the cross to save the people on earth. The rest of the religion which people worship are not real God, they are only GREAT people who done great deeds, and people worship them, thinking they are God.

Self-Protrait

SELF-PORTRAIT
By David Whyte
It doesn’t interest me if there is one God
or many gods.
I want to know if you belong or feel
abandoned.
If you know despair or see it in others.
I want to know
if you are prepared to live in the world
with its harsh need
to change you. If you can look back
with firm eye,
saying this is where I stand. I want to know
if you know
how to melt into that fierce heat of living,
falling toward
the center of your longing. I want to know
if you are willing
to live, day by day, with the consequence of love
and the bitter
unwanted passion of your sure defeat.
I have heard, in that fierce embrace, even
the gods speak of God.
Self-Protrait is a poem David Whyte(1955) wrote after looking in the mirror one morning — ’something’ was calling him to stand up, wake up, and be honest about what his life was needing him to be and do. The whole theme of Whyte’s poem is authenticity. David whyte was born and raised in the north of England, studied marine zoology in Wales, and trained as a naturalist in the Galapagos Islands. He now lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and two children, and works full-time as a poet, reading and lecturing throughout the world. He is one of the few poets to bring his insights to bear on organizational life, working with corporations at home and abroad. He has published four volumes of poetry, and has also written two best-selling prose books.
